Privacy Policy
EasyDev is designed so that the data you work with — JSON payloads, JWTs, hashes, passwords, images — never leaves your device. This page explains exactly what we do and do not collect.
What stays in your browser
Every tool on EasyDev runs entirely in your browser using JavaScript and the Web Crypto API. The inputs you paste — text, tokens, files, configuration — are processed locally. They are not transmitted to our servers, not logged, not cached on a CDN, and not shared with any third party.
- Tool inputs and outputs are held in your browser's memory and discarded when you close the tab.
- File uploads in the Image Converter and Hash Generator are processed via the File API and never streamed to a server.
- We do not have a database of user content — there is nothing to leak, breach, or subpoena.
What we do collect
We use a privacy-respecting web analytics setup to understand which tools are popular and where the site is slow. The data collected is anonymous and aggregated:
- Pages visited (which tool you opened, not what you typed)
- Approximate country, derived from your IP address — your IP itself is not stored
- Browser family and screen size, to prioritize compatibility work
- Referring domain (e.g. google.com) — never the full URL or query string
We do not use this data to build a user profile, and we do not sell it. If you would like to opt out entirely, your browser's Do Not Track signal and most ad-blocking extensions will prevent the analytics script from loading.
Cookies and storage
We use a small amount of browser localStorage to remember your preferences — for example, whether the sidebar is collapsed or which theme you picked. These values stay on your device and are not transmitted anywhere. We do not set marketing or tracking cookies.
Third-party services
The site is served via a CDN (which sees standard HTTP request metadata for every request to any website), and may load fonts from Google Fonts. When you click the Buy me a coffee button, your browser navigates to a third-party page (Ko-fi) which has its own privacy policy.
Children
The site is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a minor has interacted with the site in a way that requires our attention, please contact us.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the toolkit grows. The "last updated" date below always reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be summarized at the top.
